Wednesday Photo Shoot

Jim and I headed to the hospital today for a stress test on the babies. I am thrilled to report that they did great! I want nothing more than for these babies to be born healthy and have the easiest transition possible into this world. We are still on track for a 7/10 delivery. I have to admit that I am selfishly disappointed that I have another 2 weeks of pregnancy, though! My blood pressure continues to creep up and up and shoots up by about 30 points when I even sit up, so it's 2 more weeks of bedrest for me and single working fatherhood for Jim!

Since doctors appts are the only time I'm allowed to get up these days, I actually got dressed today so we took the opportunity to take a family and prego pic for the Maggie and William's baby books.

I had to include this pic of Maria and Kirby...we don't know what we'd do with out Maria, one of Kirby's favorite people in the world!!

Kirby Konversations

Jim put Kirby to be last night, and she was beyond tired by the time they got to her room. The conversation when they got in there went like this:

Kirby: Rock-a-bye?
Jim: Yes, lets rock-a-bye
I could hear them singing and saying prayers (sooo sweet)...then came
Kirby: I wanna read Big Sister
Jim: No, we're not going to read Big Sister tonight - it's late and you're tired
Kirby: I wanna read Big Sister
Jim: No, not tonight - we'll read it tomorrow
Kirby: I wanna read Big Sister
Jim: No, Kirby, we're not going to read Big Sister
Kirby: Mommy would.

Big Sister Bound!

Kirbs has turned into quite the big sister overnight! She has always carried her stuffed animals around and loved on them, but she's never really been into dolls. She got some books about babies and being a big sister for her birthday, and all of the sudden she loves her baby dolls - she has decided two in particular are Maggie and William (although sometimes William becomes Elliot for a bit!) She changes their diapers, gives them pacifiers, feeds and burps them, and puts them in their swings to sleep.

Thanks, by the way, Pam May, for letting us borrow your swing!!! We promise to have it back in SA before the newest Tootle arrives!!

Meet Maggie...

...and William (we'll have to work on getting him some more masculine clothes!)

All of this is good practice, because Dr. Thompson scheduled my c-section for July 10, 2009 at 8:30 am!!!! One more month and Maggie Claire and William Miller will be here! My last sonogram was on Friday and both Maggie and William look great - they are both measuring around 3 lb 10 oz. It's crazy to think that they will be here in a month.

Also, Annie finished William's bedding - here is the final product! Once we get a few things on the walls, we'll be good to go!

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

My sweet, sweet girl, you're 2 today!
You're pretty perfect in every way!
We're amazed by all of the things you do -
Below we've listed just a few!

You love to sing - Jesus Loves Me, ABC, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Where is Thumpkin, Mr. Golden Sun, Happy Birthday, BINGO, & Jesus Loves the Little Children are a few of you favorites. You bob your head to the beat and mumble the parts you don't know so well!

You love to skip and dance (I think you get your rhythm - if that's what you want to call it - from your mommy!)

When you're doing something you're not supposed to, and we catch you, you tilt your head to the side, grin, and say, "Hey, what cha doin?" You make it really difficult to follow through with discipline when you're so stinkin' cute!

You like catching "Whoffers" (whoppers) with your magnetic fishing pole

You get us to go wherever you want by grabbing our hand and saying, "Come on, follow me! It'll be so fun!!!"

You love, love, love your animals - that's how we know what a sweet big sister you're going to be!

Sometimes, in the middle of playing you will stop what you're doing and run as fast as you can to hug us and say, "I love you!" Our hearts melt every time!

You give the best hug and pat, pat, pats

You can't sleep or ride in the car without your pappies and at least 2 blankets

When we ask you to do something you don't want to do, you squint and cut your eyes to the left while you think about whether you're going to mind us (most of the time you decide against it, but you're getting better!!)

You love Noggin and have a crush on Diego

When you get really excited you let out a really loud, short scream

When you fall dow, you freeze and say, "I'm ok!"

You think there's nothing more fun than hiding from whoever is coming into the house. When you hear the garage door open, you whisper, "Hear that? Who is it? Let's hide - come on!"

We love you Kirby Toes!!

Jesus Loves Me

Just so you know, Kirby picked out her own bow for this outfit - she was wearing her turquoise winter crocs, too - what an ensemble! I'm not so fired up that she's getting opinions about her clothes!!!

Twin Update

The babies are right on track - Maggie measured 2 lb 10 oz and William measured 2 lb 9 oz - that's almost as much baby as Kirby WHEN SHE WAS BORN! So scary that I have at least 8 more weeks to grow! They both look great and are even more precious than the last time I saw them. Next sono is in 3 weeks!

3 on Thursday

1. This was the conversation at the breakfast table Wednesday morning...
Maria: Kirby, Usted dice cuchara. (as she shows kirby the spoon)
Kirby: Cuchara!
Maria: Usted dice tenedor. (as she shows kirby the fork)
Kirby: Tenedor!
Maria: Usted dice cuchillo. (as she shows kirby the knife)
Kirby: cuchillo!
Kirby: Maria, you say knife. (as she shows maria the knife)

2. I am sad to report that Molly will be going to live with a new family. I hate it, but I know she will be better off. Poor Molls doesn't get the attention she deserves now, and that will only get worse when our family increases by 2! We will miss you, Molls :(

3. We went to a BBQ tonight at St. Luke's, where Kirby will go to school next year. She and Hadley had a blast in the petting zoo. The only problem was that she kept petting the WRONG end of the animals. Thank goodness for hand sanitizer!! Elliot was all smiles as always!!
