1 down...2 to go!!!
Jim passed the first part of the CFA exam!!! He scored > 70% on every section! Way to go! We are so proud of you, Jim, and we love you so much!!!!!!!!!

10 on Tuesday
Wow. What a weekend!
We finally finished painting the dresser. I still have some touching up to do, but I couldn't wait to get it out of the garage!!
We moved the pictures around...After over 4 years, our room actually looks somewhat complete. YAY!
Gordon and Denise gave me azaleas for my birthday, and on Saturday afternoon, they came with my parents and helped re-landscape our front flower bed. You don't get the full effect without before pictures, but it looks SOOOOOOO much better. Again, I'm not sure why we waited years to do it! Thank y'all SO much for the plants and all the hard work!!!!
Annie stayed in Houston, and we met Julie and Hadley at the Aquarium Monday morning. Kirby had a ball - she was just mesmerized by all the fish - Lots of "Oooooohs" and "Oh Wows" going on! I love how excited she gets about the littlest things, and I pray that she always will!! Annie's Superkids facts were in full effect - Here, Kirby was very interested to know all about sharks' gills.

Grrrrrr...Kirby was trying to figure out how to make a claw with her had - she
didn't want to be left out!!
A little boy had just told Kirby, "That's not a kitty, kitty...it's a TIGER"
Kirby would NOT let go of the snack trap to hold on to the Merry-Go-Round
Kirby tries so hard to carry all three of her baby dolls around the house. One poor baby just got left in the hallway with major head trauma. She just can't quite figure out how to get them all in her hands.

5 on Friday!
1. Kirby's no longer sporting the mullet!! She was such a good girl for her first hair cut!!
2. Maria took Kirby to the zoo last week...It doesn't look like she had ANY fun does it??
3. Annie and DonDon got back from their Boston vacation on Tuesday morning - they flew into Houston and of course came straight to our house to visit Kirby & Maria and to give her this "oh so fashionable" souvenir bonnet. I snapped this pic this morning when she was giving herself kisses in the mirror and saying, "I see you!!" It was precious!
4. Is she poser or what? It's amazing how exciting pretzels can be!
5. I'm not sure I could pull off "cool" with a pacifier...somehow Kirby makes it work!

Pop Quiz
Who adores the other more? Kirby and DonDon spent forever outside talking and swinging and looking for birds this weekend!
We went to Beaumont to celebrate Annie's birthday - it was so fun! We took Kirby downtown to see the fireworks which she LOVED. She pointed and made her "surprised" face for each and every one she saw!
Side note...Kirby went to sleep at 7:30 last night- she was exhausted after a big day at the zoo with Maris and "Cuyeeka" as she calls Maria's daughter, Yurika. It's 7:15 now, and she's still asleep! Could this be our very first 12 hour night???? Close enough, right? YAY Kirbs!!!!
