My first baseball game

I went to my first baseball game last night! I felt like such a big girl! My cousin Georgia's daddy pitched last night against the Astros, so we went to cheer him on. I had a blast! DonDon and Uncle Michael kept an eye out for foul balls since we were sitting on the 1st base line, and I looked around at all of the lights and people everywhere. I can't wait to go back!!! Here are some pictures of my big night...

Poor Ole Molls

Poor Molly broke her toe! It hasn't slowed her down too much, though - she just hobbles around on three legs. The vet said that typically when this happens they put a pin in the bone, but surprise, surprise...they don't make a pin small enough for a 2.8 lb dog. So, we are making weekly trips to the vet to have her foot checked out and rewrapped. I think she just did it to get some attention...Kirby has turned her whole world upside down - poor thing!

Busy Baby Girl

Now that Kirby is almost 12 weeks old, she's developed quite a jetsetting lifestyle. True, Beaumont and Crystal Beach are no LA or Miami, but you gotta start somewhere, right? She started the week in Beaumont, and thank goodness she did, because I'm not sure DonDon could have gotten his work done without her.

Once back from Beaumont, Kirby spent some time with Daddy...he missed her so much while she was gone (Mommy did, too!)

Kirby gave Mommy and Daddy a fashion show...She'll be able to wear this hat for a LONG time :)

She squeezed in some Bumbo time...

The highlight of Baby Girl's busy week was her first trip to the beach to visit Granddaddy. (we saving the "sand and surf beach" for next summer!)

Kirby's Backyard

Kirby is so excited about her new backyard. This past weekend Annie, Don Don, Pyran, and her parents worked hard on the flowerbeds. Good job on the rock wall, Annie!

Nana is so fun!

Since Jim is still working out of town, I am back at work, and we still don't have a nanny, Jim's sweet mom came into town the first part of the week to keep Kirby - what a life saver! I think both Kirby and Nana had a great time. Aunt Julie's birthday was Wednesday, so Kirby got to hang out with cousin Hadley, too!

Wednesday, August 1, 2007

This was a rough week for the Grays! Jim was working in Detroit all week, and I went back to work on Wednesday - no fun!! We are so grateful that Annie came to the rescue! She came to Houston to keep Kirby during the day and keep me company at night - I don't know what we'd do without her. Kirby loved hanging out with her Annie all day and is looking forward to her Nana's visit next week. Knowing that grandmothers will be loving on Kirbs these first couple of weeks back at work really makes the transition easier!

Kirby was 2 months old on Wednesday, and we celebrated by putting her big girl bathing suit on and taking a swim in the tub! She loved kicking in the water - I think we'll try a real swimming pool this weekend!

Molly is such a good big sister...
